Home Improvement Specialists - Greater Lansing Area

All Phase Remodeling, Inc. is a design/build company established in 1985 by Lyle Whittaker, C.G.R. to serve the Greater Lansing Area.  The name All Phase Remodeling was chosen out of a desire to assist clients with “all phases” of home improvement and to meet the changing needs of our clients during “all phases” of life – from great room additions for the growing family, to converting bathtubs into showers and adding grab bars or ramps for those who need to make their homes safer as they age-in-place

As a Design/Build firm we can offer our clients “one-stop shopping” – from designing the project with your budget in mind to constructing the project according to the designs and material specification. Heather McDonald has been assisting our clients to achieve the best design to suit their needs since she came on board in June of 1999.  We have trained and experienced carpenters on-staff to construct these projects with the quality and precision that you have come to expect from All Phase Remodeling.  Our Lead Carpenter, Mike Langtry, has been with us since 1992.  Over the years we have developed a wonderful team of sub-contractors we can rely on for electrical, plumbing, drywall, and other specialty work.

We hope that our many years of experience in the remodeling field in the Greater Lansing Area will convey confidence and trust in our company. We look upon our clients as our growing family so we strive to provide a friendly, efficient and comforting experience that will enhance your home forever and have you revisit All Phase Remodeling, Inc. for future remodeling projects.

Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR)™

CGR stands for professionalism, experience, and a commitment to quality. If your remodeler’s name bears the CGR designation, you can be assured that he or she measures up to the best remodelers in the country.

The National Association Of Home Builders (NAHB) created the Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) program to help you determine which remodeling contractor you can count on to do a professional job when faced with dozens of contractors all claiming to do good work. Because the CGR program emphasizes business management as the foundation of a successful business, all CGRs are required to take business-related courses offered by the NAHB.

All CGRs must have owned or managed a remodeling business for at least five years and must be approved by a nine-member board of governors. Only individual remodelers can earn CGR designation. CGR does not apply to companies or their employees. In addition, all CGRs must provide reference letters, proof of business insurance, and licensing information (if required by state law) to the board before they are approved for certification.

Lead-Safe Certified Firm

In December 2009, All Phase Remodeling completed training and became certified by the EPA as a Certified Lead Renovator and Remodeler. This designation allows us to do remodeling work in homes with lead-based paint by using proper lead-safe work procedures.  Common renovation activities like sanding, cutting, and demolition can create hazardous lead dust and chips by disturbing lead-based paint, which can be harmful to adults and children. To protect against this risk, the EPA issued a rule requiring the use of lead-safe practices and other actions aimed at preventing lead poisoning. Under the rule, beginning in April 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.

If you own a home built before 1978 or that you know has lead-based paint, you can take comfort in knowing that All Phase Remodeling is trained and certified to safely perform remodeling and renovations in your home.
