AWARDS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Remodeling Certifications

Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR)™

CGR stands for professionalism, experience, and a commitment to quality. If your remodeler’s name bears the CGR designation, you can be assured that he or she measures up to the best remodelers in the country.

The National Association Of Home Builders (NAHB) created the Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) program to help you determine which remodeling contractor you can count on to do a professional job when faced with dozens of contractors all claiming to do good work. Because the CGR program emphasizes business management as the foundation of a successful business, all CGRs are required to take business-related courses offered by the NAHB.

All CGRs must have owned or managed a remodeling business for at least five years and must be approved by a nine-member board of governors. Only individual remodelers can earn CGR designation. CGR does not apply to companies or their employees. In addition, all CGRs must provide reference letters, proof of business insurance, and licensing information (if required by state law) to the board before they are approved for certification.

Lead-Safe Certified Firm

In December of 2009, All Phase Remodeling completed training and became certified by the EPA as a Certified Lead Renovator and Remodeler. This designation allows us to do remodeling work in homes with lead-based paint by using proper lead-safe work procedures.

Common renovation activities like sanding, cutting, and demolition can create hazardous lead dust and chips by disturbing lead-based paint, which can be harmful to adults and children. To protect against this risk, the EPA issued a rule requiring the use of lead-safe practices and other actions aimed at preventing lead poisoning. Under the rule, beginning in April of 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.

If you own a home built before 1978 or that you know has lead-based paint, you can take comfort in knowing that All Phase Remodeling is trained and certified to safely perform remodeling and renovations in your home.

Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists

Aging-in-Place means remaining in one’s home safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, income, or ability level. It means the pleasure of living in a familiar environment throughout one’s maturing years and the ability to enjoy the familiar daily rituals and the special events that enrich all our lives. It means being able to call a house a “home” for a lifetime.

Testimonials

Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!! Our kitchen and bathroom look soooo beautiful! I’m loving my house again. And all the little touches you thought to add-outlets in the vanity, self closing cabinets and lids, and (my personal favorite) the dimmer switch on the chandelier. Genius! I couldn’t be happier. Thanks
Sara
